We offer different kind of scanning
service. For a list of
file sizes needed for various print sizes, please consult the file
sizes chart. Please note that the quality of the scan depends
mainly on the kind of scanner. Our
scanning services include:
Drum Scans – Drum scans are
recommended for photographers who demand the highest quality scans for
large prints, such as Durst Lambda
prints, Lightjet digital
c-prints or silver gelatin
prints. We use a Crosfield (Fujifilm) Celsis
6250 drum scanner, which is one of the best drum scanners available. Our
scanner can handle negatives, transparencies, and flexible reflective
artworks up to 20x24.
Scitex Flatbed Scans – Our
flatbed scanner can handle negative and reflective surfaces up
to 11x17. This option works well for photographers who have a
print but no negative.
Frontier Scans – Our
Fuji Frontier scanner is a high-speed, CCD type roll film scanner. It can
handle negative, positive (transparency) and B&W film. The
maximum film size is 120/220, and maximum file size it can
generate is about 40 MB.
